Re: 16rb - water heater tank replacement?

I have a dedicated socket to remove the anode rod, drain plug now. I keep it in a certain spot with the rod/plug with it. Even during summer non use times. Ill awys drain after each use anyway, usually at the park. No reason to haul that weight.

Re: 16rb - water heater tank replacement?

I replaced one for someone before. It wasn't a bid deal, other than on his, whoever had it before him took it out very roughly. Messed the outside up so there was some cosmetic things to do. Yours shouldn't be too bad. the worse thing is the seal that they use to seal the outside trim frame to the un...

Re: Short stabilizer jacks- 2018 27BHS

I wonder if maybe someone at the factory decided to put them in the wrong place. Maybe they can be relocated

Re: Short stabilizer jacks- 2018 27BHS

That is odd. They are screwed on so you could add a spacer at the top of them, but that would also lower them closer to the road during travel so i would just take a block for each one.

Re: Short stabilizer jacks- 2018 27BHS

Is it possible that the previous owner did an axle flip to raise the unit? That's what it sounds like. Do the door steps seem a bit high as well? All you can do is put a block under it, which I always do anyway. Edit...It's a 2018 so is it new? Is it possible that the camper is sitting level and you...

Re: Cutting underbelly to dry out subfloor

If your talking about the hard plastic layer,it can be unscrewed. If your talking about the soft type, yes you can cut it. You can replace it too. And all of the insulation. You may have to use a different process to reinstall the covering than the factory did, but it's no big deal. If I were in you...

Re: Pop Up camper replacement tires

Back when we had ours.....I think they wrote that in there to get stiffer sidewall tires to help with sway. Today, without some sort of special order, I'm not sure that you can even get a bias tire unless it's giant truck tire. If it were me, i would step up the load rating as high as you can withou...

Re: Starcraft 19BHS Rear slide awning topper

Certainly width wouldn't be the issue. I'm not sure if I've ever seen one that would go that far out as what you would need.

Re: Rookie Mistake / Awning

If I pull one arm down (before it rains) it will work itself back up in an hour or so. From the owners manual......... NOTE: Belleville washers and bolts (Fig.18A) allow the joint to remain in the position set by the operator. If the pitch arm does not hold position, it can be tightened by adjusting...
