The AC inverter panel does charge the battery but if I were to remove the battery all together or the battery went bad (ie, wouldn’t accept a charge) then the slide out would not operate electrically.

I don't have a slide out, but, if I did I know I would love it operating on DC instead of AC. My reasons are because we camp without AC often. DC should be available from the charger in AC even if the battery wasn't connected. So, you should have DC power on AC with no battery .... unless I am missing something.

Slide Out Electrical

I am wondering if there is a way to "convert" the electric slide out on my 2003 Travel Star 21SSO from DC to AC. I would like to be able to operate the slide out while hooked up to electricity and not rely solely on a battery in case the battery ever goes dead. I would also like the slide out to operate at full power and therefore hopefully faster. Any thoughts on how this can be accomplished or is it not possible?
