The bolt holding the genny down is 1/2 inches

The hole the bolt goes through the truck bed is 2 3/8 inches

To keep the genny from sliding around and working loose, the wood plugs keeps the bolt, and the genny centered over the 5th wheel hole.

The bottom 1.5" has the full sized hole for the female nut. The upper section has room for only the carriage bolt. The sections are screwed together to allow everything to be taken apart when the genny goes in for repair.
Please explain the purpose of the wood plugs. Looks good

I'll load it into the back of the truck later this week when temps get over 80ºF for a trial run. I'm concerned about the genny overheating, so I'll use my temperature ray gun to check the operating temps as it idles with the eco throttle off.

to plug the generator into the TT, an inlet box was purchased (as noted above) along with the cord. The box is mounted to the front of the TT, a wire sent back to the rotary switch.
