Greetings from Maryland

Post by Kottwitz » August 7th, 2017, 11:57 am

My wife and I just got a new to us '06 TravelStar 21sb. My Dad has/had a TravelStar 21 SSO, and I liked the comfort of it. He and my Mom pulled that thing from East Tennessee to Alaska every year for about 8 or 10 years with 2 dogs and sometimes a cat in tow. They were campground host, and with the amount they used it, I figured I wouldn't go wrong with this one.

I did look at his, but the floor was starting to get soft, and with the weight, I didn't feel comfortable pulling it. I have a Quad Cab Dakota, and can tow 5500 pounds with my rig, so this 3,000 (dry weight) rig fits me fine.

This is actually my second camper. We had a pop up, but decided to sell it, and get something bigger, just because my wife didn't want to crank it up every time we went out (but I don't ever remember her cranking on the handle :? )... She wanted one that could be dropped, and set up without any major effort.

Looking forward to getting some more insight on my new rig...
