Freshwater tank fills from city water

Post by Marlenelic » October 15th, 2019, 4:18 pm

This is the first time this has happened in our Cambria we are hooked up to City Water with a pressure regulator and filter, water valve is I the full normal position but the fresh water tank is filling very slowly, like over night it will fill approx 1/3 of a tank. Is there another valve or check valve I could be missing or leaking. Looking for input. Thx

I thought filling with the city water connection could be problematic....

back flow valve in the pump is stuck.
Disconnect city water
Turn on a faucet and relieve pressure
Close faucet
Turn on water pump and allow water to run for about a minute
Close faucet.
once pump stops turn off pump
reconnect city water
You should be OK
If you run the water pump when connected to city water it can cause the valve to reseat improperly. Found this on another forum

Mine won’t fill from the city water inlet .... only from the tank inlet. At least I never found or tried to find a way to fill it that way.

Freshwater tank fills from city water

Post by Tgrisham » August 11th, 2018, 11:53 pm

We had a 2015 AR one 15RB and upgraded to 2016 AR one 16qb and both were used when we bought them. Both manuals say the freshwater tank can be filled by the city water inlet or the water tank inlet. The 15RB never did it and we never knew it could. When we hooked up to city water the first time we could hear water running tracked it down to the area of the pump. It was filling the freshwater tank until we turned a valve off. That means we have to open that valve if we want to fill it that like that. The 2 trailers are the plumbed the same and the valves are open and closed the same but the freshwater tank on the 15RB does not fill with the city water inlet. Can anyone tell me why?
