My 2016 AR 15RB has them. But I wanted to make sure so looked for the wires coming out of the axle into wheels. (Brake backing plate)

I also use a P3 as my brake controller. Works great and no complaints. Wiring up the brake controller into the vehicle took some time & effort running wires from the back receiver hitch all the way into the drivers' area and then into the front engine battery compartment. But once done, I can just enjoy it. Next vehicle I get either will have a built-in brake controller or something that is just plug-and-play. I don't think I have the patience to run all those wires again  .

I have a 2013 AR-ONE 15RB. Mine came standard with the electric brakes. I have been using a Prodigy P2 for many years without issue. Works great.

Just bought the ARONE 14RB. Owner stated that they don't have electric brakes, but specs for this model say they are standard Elec drum brakes.
Can anyone tell me if that is true? And how do you operate them??

Highly recommend the Prodigy 3, I've been using mine for about 2 yrs now and wow what a difference it made in braking with the 4runner.

The brakes are operated with a brake controller. I had no idea what this even was when I got started in the trailer brakes topic. It's a separate little piece you have installed and it controls how much brakes are applied at the trailer depending on factors in the tow vehicle.

It was recommended to me the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 and I had it installed. One of the best decisions, ever. The trailer brake makes a huge difference and I am very very happy with the controller. Mine is 4 years old, at this point and still reliably operating.

There are others out there, maybe other folks can recommend some other units.
