Short stabilizer jacks- 2018 27BHS
Re: Short stabilizer jacks- 2018 27BHS
Maybe I don't understand your issue, but why is the tongue of your trailer so high off the ground? Does it have to be this high for your trailer to be level from front to rear? Is this site level? It appears to be on a slope. If so, this explains why your leveling jacks have to be extended all the way with additional blocks under them. Do you have the leveling jacks extended all the way in the back as well? A side photo would really help your viewers to better understand your situation. Just my thoughts.

This still is an odd situation. Years of owning and dealing with rv's and I've never seen any mounted like that.

I gave up and cut up a 4x6. I have 4 pieces so on level surface I can put one under each and if it is un-level one side will touch the ground and the other gets two blocks. I first bought 4 camco save-a-steps which don't seem to do too bad a job at stabilizing the camper either but since I had the wood laying around I cut it up and added those as well.

We just picked up our brand new 2018 Autumn Ridge 27BHS and I am having the same issue. The Stabilizer jacks do not touch on a level driveway. This seems crazy, I've never seen anything like it. Anyone have any luck getting help from their dealer on this issue?

I wonder if maybe someone at the factory decided to put them in the wrong place. Maybe they can be relocated

That is strange! I purchased a 4x4x8 treated fence post and cut it into 1 ft. long pieces. Now I have 8 cribbing blocks.

That is odd. They are screwed on so you could add a spacer at the top of them, but that would also lower them closer to the road during travel so i would just take a block for each one.

This is a brand new trailer off the lot. The driveway is close to level and neither the front nor rear reach the ground. If it was the driveway I would expect one or the other to reach.

Is it possible that the previous owner did an axle flip to raise the unit? That's what it sounds like. Do the door steps seem a bit high as well? All you can do is put a block under it, which I always do anyway.
Edit...It's a 2018 so is it new? Is it possible that the camper is sitting level and your driveway that it's parked on is sloping down? Away from the reach of the jacks?

You would think they would come with stabilizers of the correct length though. Its not like they dont exist.
I purchased these step stabilizers and I will see how they work. They are rated to 1000lbs which should be enough under the stabilizer.
