Actually, that was GREAT help. Thanks. I found the "decorative" buttons that covered the screws to the baseboard and removed them with a prying tool. Once I removed the baseboard, the motor was there!

Great news, motor was fine. The problem was a loose wire. All is good.

Thanks for the tip! :D :D :D

I have no experience with slide outs. But, usually the dinettes come apart if there is equipment inside them ... at least when the cushions are removed the seat baseboard comes off. Beyond that I won’t be much help ...

How to access slideout motor 2004 travel star 21SSO

Post by Hugoschmidt » September 15th, 2018, 9:33 pm

Hello all,
The other day my slideout stopped working. I have checked all fuses, I have checked the battery. Those are fine.

When I toggle either the in or out on the switch there us nothing. No sound or anything to make me think there is a jam or physical problem with opening or closing.

I would love to test the electric source where the motor is but cant figure out how to get to the motor. I know it is under the dining set area.

Can anyone help me either troubleshoot the problem or tell me how to access the motor?

Thanks in advance.
